Online Cheating Problem? A Denver entrepreneur has devised a system for online poker that answers all questions of authenticity, accountability, and transparency. Gene Gioia wondered about the implausible hands he saw online, and wanted to find a way to verify that software flaws were not causing hands that would not occur at live tables.
Gioia came from a professional background as a consultant in charge of auditing software installations for nationwide companies. He decided the way to assure players the game and system were legitimate was to deal actual cards.
Gioia and his brother created a machine, which they call the "Real Deal", to continuously shuffle and deal cards at very high speed. The results can be transmitted to computers running hundreds of simultaneous games. This should give true results, unlike the random number generators currently used, Gioia believes.
All hands dealt are recorded and available for future auditing.Gioia will open the site realdealpoker.com to give free demonstrations of his product.
After the AbsolutePoker and UltimateBet cheating scandals, players are more suspicious than ever of online poker rooms. One poll showed over two-thirds of online players do not trust the deal, and many players aviod Internet play for reasons of trust.
Gioia doesn't accuse sites of cheating, but he notes they can't prove they don't, and his method can. He hopes that the demo website will bring him the financing necessary to get his own online poker room running, and then the natural draw of an auditable site will bring customers flocking.

I know I've never felt completely convinced thta online poker is straight up and honest...I've seen too many things happen that never happen at a real table. I like the idea to be able to audit a deal.

Sites won't do it. That will prove that their claims that so many bad beats happen because of the number of hands played. (Yet, they don't tell anyone that the rule applies to absolutely NO ONE who plays online, because, no one plays all hands.) They'll do like ULtimateBet and Absolute. You don't realize how profitable it is for them to cheat at even a penny table. Example: Two shills and a bot at a table with nine players. At 1/2 NL the two shills and bot can make an average of $5.00 an hour for $120.00 per day. That's only ONE table too. Imagine several tables. Then imagine the 2/5 cent, 5/10 cent, 10/25 and etc. and etec. On the penny/two penny tables, at just 3 a day with 3 fakes at each table, generate $120,000.00 plus a year. Then add the cheated 2/5 5/10. 10/25 and etc. and etc. Talk about making a killing - they'll NEVER EVER allow someone to run a true dealt hand. They can't allow that. They'll have to quit cheating. And since ALL ATTEMPTS to make ALL SITES prove their honesty has failed in the past, including the top 5 favorites - what in hell makes you embiciles think they'll actually want anyone to offer them a chance at an honest game with all the clientele they have. You are brain damaged if you think any poker room will agree to it. To prove that ALL SITES are corrupt, watch and see how many jump at the chance to prove their honesty! HA! Not one site will appear!
