Borgata Poker Open Begins Atlantic City is always looking for ways that they can get back on top of the casino universe. They used to be the top location on the East Coast, but have not had that title for quite a while now.
If the Borgata Poker Open can help out, then that would be great. That appears to be the case after first day registrations for the poker tournament totaled 1,192 for the first day.
The Open continues through September and if anyone is interested in playing they must register soon. A big turnout is expected and the scheduled tournaments are filling up. All tournaments begin at 11:00 A.M. daily.
The first event began this past Wednesday and had a prize pool that was worth $357,600. First place for the first tournament, which was a $300 buy in No Limit Hold'em tournament, was $77,170.
The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is the location for the month long event. They have guaranteed a $5 million prize pool which is the largest casino guarantee ever.
