New Poker Limits at Creek Room's The Seminole Coconut Creek Casino in South Florida is changing the limits to some of their poker games. They will now offer a 1/3 game for players who no longer want to play the 1/2 games.
The Seminoles at Creek say the reason for the change is because of many unhappy players over the 1/2 game. The game's limits were so small that most players were simply calling with any two cards and more likely than not the games were being turned into luck of the draw. That is not the reputation that the casino wants to portray of their poker room.
No matter the motives behind the changes, they will be welcome ones to players. The new limits, while not a major change, could help to curb some of the loose play, and thus, bring back the competitive nature for what the game has become known.
The Seminole Coconut Creek Casino also offers 2/5 and 5/10 games.

I do not believe the increase of $1 will change or influence the loose players to stop ..so the theory is useless .. the competitiveness will always be there.

I agree, can't see how this could make a difference. The cheap games are still cheap at 1/3.
